iPad 3 Latest Headlines – Final Roundup

The world’s most anticipated device, Apple’s next generation iPad, which is said to officially be introduced tomorrow, is still encircled with numerous rumors about the design, name, specs and so on…

The most unexpected thing we’ve heard so far concerns the name of the next gen iPad to be iPad HD instead of iPad 3.  As Apple has a long practice to surprise us (remember the long anticipation of iPhone 5 and we got iPhone 4S after iPhone 4instead, as well as iPhone 3GS after iPhone 3G) and considering the fact that Apple is rumored to be doubling the resolution of the current iPad 2, it is quite possible that we’ll see iPad HD Tomorrow. But if Apple does go with iPad HD, what would the further next generation iPads be called - iPad HD 2, iPad HDS or what?

The next big rumor concerns the screen size. Apple is once again rumored to be purchasing respectively smaller, 7.1-inches, screens for iPad mini type device- according to multiple sources. But why would Apple, which sold 15.43 million full sized, full priced iPad 2 tablets last quarter alone, would complicate the app development process for developers or create yet another UI size for developers to target? Just to compete with Amazon’s Kindle Fire? It leaks logic a bit, but nothing is foreclosed at all…

And the last thing that sounds incredible- Ten One Design – which has a great reputation when it comes to accessories, has just announced that it is working on a pressure sensitive Bluetooth 4.0 stylus for the next generation iPad 3. However the question is whether the stylus will be coming with the next iPad in the box or will it be sold separately…

This is all for now- not to mention some minor tweaks about the huge resolution, unbelievable speed and so on. So guys, call for just a little patience and wait for tomorrow to unveil the truth!

This is all for now- not to mention some minor tweaks about the huge resolution, unbelievable speed and so on. Whatever there should be introduced, the recent study shows that 42% of iPad owners are ready to buy an iPad 3! So guys, call for just a little patience and wait for tomorrow to unveil the truth!

Apple Sends Out iPad 3 Event Invitations

The long and struggling silence from Apple has finally come to an end- the company sent out the invitations yesterday, welcoming bloggers to the event in San Francisco that will definitely be the place where the iPad 3 will be unveiled in about a week. The “previously-reliable” sources appear to staying dependable again, as the previously rumored date: March 7 – looks like to be true! You see the official invitation on the pic in the left corner, saying: “We have something you really have to see. And touch.”

And there is an “unidentified” device partly demonstrated, but an expert eye will definitely encrypt that it is an iPad! If you’re attentive enough, you've probably mentioned that there is no home button, at least not where it should be. Some say that the device on the pic is rotated the way that the part shown is the side, not the bottom, based on the water drops on the device screen. The water drops unveils one more secret as well: the next gen iPad will be completely waterproof, as it seems. Anyway, as for the home button, if there is one, what should we touch then? I mean something that is disclosed, and we have never touched it before. Anyway, there is a great possibility that the almost trademarked home button will not be present on iPad 3, and there is no word on what will be placed instead.

One more thing – ( © Steve Jobs )– is the extremely high quality display demonstrated on the device at the pic. To be fair, iPad 2 display lays far behind from what is shown here… So it is reasonable to expect iPad 3 to feature 2048 x 1536 resolution display!

Now look at the icons on the screen – all we can clear our is the maps and calendar. The later shows the event date – March 7, Wednesday (Apple’s lovely magic day) as expected. As for the maps, it’s very likely that Apple will introduce own maps instead of the Google maps it has used till now.

However, all we have to do is to keep calm and wait a bit ( one week is such a little time compared to how much we’ve been waiting for iPad 3 so far) and see what Apple has to show off on March 7 in San Francisco. Stay tuned to be the first to learn about iPad 3!

Endless Rumors About iPad

Rumors about the next generation of iPad are circulating constantly. Some sources say that it is scheduled the tablet to be published on March 29. One thing that claims its nearness is – iPad 3 books have been added to Amazon’s European site.

BGR claims that a source had an iPad 3 prototype and sent some images that reveal more information about the device. The photos points to model numbers J1 and J2, which refers to iPad3,1 and iPad3,2. This means that iPad is supposedly to come in two versions – one for Wi-Fi and another with Wi-Fi and GSM/CDMA/LTE.

The images also reveal that Apple could be using a new processor called A6, model number S5L8945X. Probably this will be a powerful and extremely fast quad-core model. For comparison, the Apple A4 model was S5L8930X and the A5 is S5L8940X.

It was not indicated previously that the latest tablet from Apple would be called iPad, although, the images show that the device is being called iPad 3. But is should not be surprise if the tablet will be called iBoot.

As the matter of the fact iPads are so multiform, we do not want to part with them but sometimes we have to - when battery needs recharge; that is why one more important thing about the dream tablet is its improved battery (14,000 mAh) performance. It is expected the iPad3 will be featuring a battery that includes more than twice the capacity of the current iPad2 battery (6,500 mAh).

But the most important thing about the iPad 3 is our expectation about its speed – it is supposed to be faster than any other 'iDevice,' compatible with LTE, running on a quad-core chip and featuring a high-definition screen.

Apple In Education – Introducing Textbooks And iTunes U

At Apple's "Education Event" at the Guggenheim Museum in New York City, the company unveiled reinvented textbooks, calling them a "new textbook experience." The freshly introduced books are graphical, interactive, and take advantage of features such as 3D imaging, embedded video, and multi-touch gestures. The books will be available for the iPad users to download directly from the iBooks Store.

If you’re wondering how the publishers will manage to make those new iBook2 textbooks, here’s an answer for you: there will be a new Mac app rolling out, as Apple announced. The new assisting app will significantly facilitate to design and format these new interactive textbooks, allowing users to embed HTML, 3D objects, interactive image galleries, Q&A, and so on, and allow the creators to publish their work to Apple's iBookstore directly from the app! Moreover, the authors will be allowed to update the published books, in case there are some typos and other petty errors captured.

iBooks Author, allowing you to create dynamic, current, engrossing, and truly interactive e-books, is available for free in the Mac App Store for everyone who desires to become an early adopter!

Few of the iPad-based education program partners were also announced, including Pearson, McGraw Hill, and Houghton Mifflin Harcourt —together making 90% of the textbooks currently available in the US! The companies mentioned will be filling the new "Textbooks" category in iBooks 2 with high-school level textbooks, and are piloting the new iBook Author app as well. Covering every subject level of study for high-school students, the textbooks will be available for $14.99 or less at launch – while the publishers will be able to set their own prices, but only in return for selling them exclusively through iBooks, so $14.99 appears to be the standard option by now.

The event was noteworthy for one more thing – iTunes U offering by Apple, for syncing your iBooks textbooks to your iPad. While Apple's Eddy Cue unveiled the new iTunes U app, designed to look a lot like iBooks 2, strictly a portal for accessing all types of educational materials, including a class syllabus, full course notes and videos, as well as iBooks notes.

Apple has teamed up with some of the world's top universities such as Duke, Harvard and many more, suggesting them to offer course materials for the part-time students as well, including lecture videos, quizzes and so on. Furthermore, though iTunes U used to only be accessible for the University students and lecturers, Apple has now made the app accessible to K-12 school districts, universities, and colleges in 26 countries!

However, there are two important things to note:

1. An iTunes Store account is required to access iTunes U course materials, so you should create an iTunes account first.

2. iBooks textbooks are readable only on iPad.

As a conclusion, it should be said that the era of heavy and dull textbooks is over! Although no iPad3 or iPhone5 was announced, the students now are still much luckier to have as strong and considerate supporter as Apple. Let us know your thoughts about iBooks Textbooks and iTunes U below in the comments!

Official: iPhone5 Launched On October 4th

The iPhone5 is coming. This is no rumor, no guesswork, and no fuzzy photo taken by someone allegedly holding a lost iPhone5 prototype. Apple has sent the invitations for a real product launch to tech journalists and industry pundits! The event, called “Let’s Talk iPhone!” will take place on October 4, 2011 and will start at 10:00 AM PST (West Coast time zone). The presentation will take place at Apple’s HQ in Cupertino, breaking away from Apple’s traditional events location at Yerba Buena conference hall in San Francisco.

The invitation does not explicitly state that the event is held for iPhone5 introduction, and if it isn’t a talk about the iPhone 5, led by new CEO Tim Cook, we’ll be quite astonished: Apple’s crack team of PR commandos are tremendously good at steering expectations away from things that just aren’t going to happen.

But... what about the “one more thing?” This essential of Steve Jobs’s keynotes and product launches is basically an Apple trademark. It’s also a typical showstopper move: get your spectators excited about the main thing you’re introducing, and then overwhelm and delight them with a whole other product out of left field. With this said, the tech giant is also likely to unveil a second, cheaper iPhone model based off the current iPhone 4.

It is not known whether Steve Jobs, who resigned from the role of Apple CEO in August, will be present at the event. Keep tracking our blog for the latest news about Apple's grand event, and feel free to express your opinions in the comments below.

Not Enough iPhone 5’s At Launch

Apple won’t have sufficient amount of iPhone 5’s at unveiling – actually a need of panic! Rendering industry sources, by the reason of a manufacturing fault at a plant belonging to Apple’s subcontractor company Wintek, there potentially will be fewer iPhone 5 units transported to the USA than it was initially intended.

Conferring to DigiTimes, air bubbles in iPhone 5’s LCD screen lid were the definite defect that Apple had to treat with.

The company planned to ship 25-26 million units of the iPhone 5 in the fourth quarter of 2011, while WinTek had to provide around 25% of the LCD sensor units. Obviously this won’t be happening now, so depending on demand Apple might not have enough units available for every person who’s looking forward to upgrade.

Apple’s iPhone 5 is projected to be introduced in October 2011.

Apple’s New Store In Shanghai

Apple plans to open its store in Shanghai and Hong Kong this week, reaching the total number of its stores in China to six.

The new store of Apple will be the third one of the company in Shanghai. Request for Apple's devices in China has climbed since the company introduced its iPhone4 in the country last September. For the first three months of 2011, iPhone sales in China saw upsurge of almost 250%.

Apple's iPad has also leads China's tablet market, with a 74% of market share, according to Beijing-based research firm Analysis International. Demand for the Apple devices has been so high that illegal resellers in China have produced fake Apple stores by using the company's logos to embellish their shops. Officials have already reacted by cracking down on the fake stores in one city.

Apple has said formerly it would open total 25 stores in China in two years’ time. But the pace of store introductions so far has been much sluggish and focused on China's major cities. Apple's latest store in Shanghai will be the company's largest one in the country.

Apple Employee Lost iPhone5 Prototype In the Bar

One of the world’s most popular – latest model of Apple smartphone, that has not yet been launched and is probably the most awaited iDevice ever, has been lost by the Apple employee in the bar in San Francisco.

The information about the loss is still kept secret, but a person close to the investigation process revealed that the missing prototype has not yet been found.High-tech innovation is likely to already been sold on the Internet auction. iPhone 5 is going to hit the world market this fall.

It is not the first time, when the company's products scandalously disappear before their official release by Apple – one of the tech-blogs managed to hand last year's iPhone 4 - a prototype, which they bought for $ 5000 from student Brian Hogan. The blog published the iPhone's unique technical reviews and exclusive photos of the newest device then.

Hogan claimed that he found an unknown iPhone model in San Francisco, close to the pub in the yard, where it had been presumably dropped by one of Apple’s engineers.
