Fring with one-way video calls to the iPhone

Fring is a  comfortable app for video calls over internet for iPhone and iPod Touch. As with the company's app for Nokia devices, it’s also possible to make video calls to Skype users. But the main inconvenience is that on the iPhone and iPod Touch video chatting is a one-way call. It’s caused by the location of iPhone camera on the back side of the device. That means that only others can send you a video but not you. Nevertheless further technology development will presumably soon grant a new device with a front-facing camera to the iPhone users before two-way video calling will be possible.

Video quality is highly smooth unless you make fast motions. So you better not to run or jump when using this app.  But anyway the new app possesses the fallowing features: Free fring voice and video calls over Wi-Fi (one way);IM; SIP Integration; Push Notification for fring,Skype,MSN, GTalk, ICQ, Twitter, SIP Yahoo and IM; Dynamic Friends list.

You can download the new video-enabled iPhone app on the iTunes Link.
