Yell.com App Now Available for iPhone and iPod Touch

UK directory services provider Yell announced its Yell.com App for iPhone and iPod touch. The new app is available for free from the App Store.

iPhone users can also choose a particular area to search, or be automatically positioned in their current location using the iPhone’s GPS functionality, helping them to quickly find more than two million UK local businesses.

Matthew Bottomley, director of new media product marketing, for Yell in the UK, said: “The iPhone is a highly innovative product. We are constantly looking for new ways to connect local businesses with new customers, so putting Yell.com on the iPhone is a natural thing for us to do.”

Yell’s new iPhone App should only be accessed and used by, or with the permission of the mobile phone bill payer. In accordance with UK laws, Yell.com should not be used whilst driving.

Yell.com will offer all of its mobile services free of charge to users. Standard network charges will apply and will vary dependent on individual providers and tariff packages.
