Hutchison Telecommunications announced that it had signed an agreement with Apple to bring the iPhone to Hong Kong and Macau via its 3 network later this year. The announcement is so short that it doesn't give any details about the exact date of the handset's availability, nor about its price. Even more, there's no word on whether the device set to be launched is the 3G iPhone or the first generation 2.5G one.
The iPhone is currently available in the United States, United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Germany and Austria. The company plans to sell 10 million units by the end of the year.
