New Application - AgileMessenger For iPhone

Agilemobile released a new native chat application - AgileMessenger for iPhone.

AgileMessenger 1.0.16 is a free client that supports ICQ, MSN, JABBER, GTALK and more. It saves history, can change status,add contacts, deletes contacts, see the total traffic data exchanged during conversations, rename a contact, move a contact in another group, delete a contact and get information on it, use the vibration as notification for each message received, subdivide the list of contacts for groups and display contacts even when they are offline, conversations in the course will be open as tabs that will be accessible through the top bar simply by pressing the name of the person with whom you want to talk, when you receive a message, in addition to vibration, the name of the person you’re looking for is red, between the settings you can set the size of the character of the conversation, the size of contacts el’auto-connection.

In a chat you can also use emoticons during conversations and take pictures to be sent into contact with who was talking, simply by using the camera dell’iPhone. One thing to remember though is that you have to quit the app from Menu, since Home button just hides it in the background.

Google Talk for Iphone

Google announced a new version of Google Talk optimized for the iPhone. The web-based chat client allows you to instant message with others. Only you have to know it is an e-mail address of desirable person.

Also you are able to search for search for your Google Talk contacts. See the availability and status message of your contacts and change your own status on the go.Go off the record if you don't want to store your chats. Off the record chats are not stored on Gmail.

The appeals of these web-based clients, however, are coming to a close. With the release of the App Store next week, “Google” expects to see multiple versions of instant messaging to become available as native applications for the iPhone.

56% Of Smartphone Consumers Are Potential Buyers Of iPhone 3G

According to the RBC Capital Markets survey the majority of customers who are looking to purchase a smartphone in the next 90 days, iPhone was chosen by 56% of 3600 members of the Technology Adoption Panel.

The survey showed that only 23% of smartphone buyers were waiting it out for a new BlackBerry handset in the next 90 days. Palm limped in with a 3% planned buying-share. HTC, Nokia, and Samsung managed to swing 2% of the votes their way, while Motorola barely managed to convince 1% of respondents that theirs was the Smartphone to own.

The lower price-point and faster 3G data access were indicated as the most compelling reasons to buy the Apple handset, with 67% and 63% of survey respondents indicating such aspects as most-important in their buying-decision. The addition of GPS was listed as most-important to 47% of survey participants. Enterprise e-mail was a strong selling feature for 35%, while 20% were interested in third-party applications.

P.S. So, it seems that iPhone 3G is set to take the US smartphone market by storm.
